Notre Dame will be representing one-half of the BCS National Championship Game after its 22-13 victory over USC on Saturday night. The Irish will be going for its first title since 1988 and will face the winner of the SEC championship between Alabama and Georgia
The rest of rivalry week ended up being fairly one-sided.
Alabama destroyed Auburn 49-0 in the Iron Bowl—the largest margin of victory in 64 years. Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarren threw four touchdowns while running back Eddie Lacy ran for 131 yards and two scores.
And Georgia completely steam-rolled Georgia Tech, 42-10. Bulldog running backs Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall combined for 155 yards and five touchdowns.
