Bloody-handed in Dalaran

Bloodyhanded in Dalaran
Spoilers for Operation: Shieldwall quests to follow

I wrote how a race change changed the way I viewed the Horde, especially the Dominance Offensive questing. Well, turnabout is fair play, and so I went and got my worgen through the Operation: Shieldwall quests up to the events in Dalaran. And it's funny, because I expected it to feel different, and it did. But not quite the way I'd expected.

At the end of today's questing, I had many conflicting feelings. As Matthew Rossi, the guy who writes these posts, I was deeply troubled by what I did in Dalaran. This was not a case of a rational, cool-thinking commander giving good orders, this was a case of someone pushed too far finally snapping. The actions I took at the behest of two deeply aggrieved leaders left me with a sour taste in my mouth, when I stopped to reflect upon them.

But while I was playing? My worgen had absolutely no compunctions. Never before have I done things that, as a player I felt were wrong, but as a character I felt were absolutely right. An eye for an eye may leave the whole world blind, but doing nothing just leaves me with a missing eye.

Behind the cut I'm going into details, and those details will be chock full of spoilers. You've been warned.

Arsenal: 6 Biggest Areas in Which the Gunners Can Improve in 2013

Believe it or not, 2012 was a pretty good year for Arsenal. Not if one's ultimate goal is to win trophies, of course, but considering the various crises and doomsday scenarios that the Gunners successfully navigated, they've done pretty well.

However, there is still much to be improved upon, as almost any fan will affirm. As the club begins its eighth year without winning a major trophy and is on the brink of letting another one of its brightest stars leave, there is much to be improved upon.

So don't let all of Arsenal's troubles be forgotten just yet. As we switch calendars and make unrealistic resolutions, let's look at six that the Gunners need to keep to become a better team and prevent a 2012 hangover.

Apple ordered to pay settlement in Chinese App Store copyright case

Imagine you're an author and you find out that someone has been selling your books on the App Store without your consent -- and, worse, you don't see a dime of the profits. That's what happened to a group of eight writers in China, and a court there has decided that Apple owes them compensation, according to The Wall Street Journal.

While the copyright-infringing apps weren't actually sold by Apple, the court found that the company was responsible for allowing them onto the store in the first place. As a result, the company must pay a total of 1.03 million Chinese yuan (about US$165,000) to the writers. When the suit was first filed back in February of this year the plaintifs had requested 23 million yuan ($3.65 million) in damages.

The judgment in this case was handed down by the same court that ordered Apple to pay 530,000 yuan ($84,990) to a publisher in September after unlicensed versions of its encyclopedias appeared on the App Store.

Daily iPad App: Letz: The Story of Zed does match 3 right

Letz is a game that doesn't necessarily excel in its mechanics -- it's a match 3 game, basically, though there is a fun addition in the form of a word-making challenge as well. But where Letz really shines is in the icing. The sounds and graphics on this one are just pure sugary pleasure -- the kind of great bleeps and bloops that you hear on the floor of a casino when everyone around you is winning lots of money.

Ok, so maybe it's not for everyone, but I am completely charmed by Letz's cotton candy graphics and all the sounds the game makes. Match 3 isn't that complicated a game form, obviously, and that's what you're doing here (though you can collect letters as you match tiles, and then match those letters up into words, including one story word per stage in the campaign as you play through it). But despite the simplicity, the game's big board allows you to chain tiles and shapes to your heart's content, sometimes getting up to a minute or two of dings, rings and rewards for just the right match. An XP system with plenty of objectives also keeps the action interesting, and the whole package is just excellently charming throughout the game's huge amount of content.

Letz (full title, The Story of Zed) is a bargain for just US$1.99 on the iPad. It's a very well-polished game that's almost excessively rewarding, and match 3 aficionados especially will have a great time with it. If you've yet to be convinced, there's a lite version to try out as well.

Well, I can't stop singing this song.

instamat asked:

Which set of dailies give the most bang for the buck?

Probably Golden Lotus dailies. They're all bunched up so you can do a lot of them simultaneously, the mobs drop gold and items, the area's wide open. There are very few headaches in getting them done.

Real-time arrivals for some NYC subway lines now accessible on iPhone

Pity the overwhelmed iOS-equipped NYC straphanger. Not only are owners of iPhones and iPads uniquely responsible for the increase in New York's property crime count this year (as victims, not perpetrators, we hope), but even if they can keep a grip on their much-prized tech, they have to cope with the increased hurdles to getting accurate transit directions via iOS 6's Maps app.

It's not all darkness and grime for subway riders, however. Outgoing MTA Chief / mayoral candidate Joe Lhota, who led the heroic effort to bring the subterranean system back online after Superstorm Sandy, said that today is "the day that generations of dreamers and futurists have waited for" as he announced MTA Subway Time, the first mobile app to deliver real-time train arrival countdowns for subway riders. The WSJ notes that New York's initial effort lags far behind the time-aware apps from other transit systems.

The Second Avenue Sagas subway blog has a quick take on the app, pointing out the features and flaws of the MTA's approach. On the plus side, the app and the companion website deliver the same data that appears on platform next-train clocks, giving riders the best possible chance to make their trains. Unfortunately, without cellular or WiFi access, you're stuck with the estimated timetables used by apps like Embark, iTrans and NextStop.

Aside from the network access challenge and the rather utilitarian design of the app (not optimized for iPhone 5), other issues are somewhat more deeply knotted into New York's subway infrastructure.

Rather than the reasonably modern and automated switching systems used on mass transit networks built out in the 1960s and later, most of New York's subway lines are still controlled via fixed-block signaling that was leading-edge back in the 19th century. That's why only the A Division lines (the legacy IRT lines, with numbered designations, plus the 42nd Street Shuttle) are getting this real-time support now; they have the signal upgrades that provide live train progress. Other lines with upgraded signaling already done (the L train) or planned (the 7 line) will be joining the app's list when ready, but the remainder of the system could be stuck in the data drought for years or decades until the signaling overhauls are complete.

The MTA knows that third-party developers are eager to make use of this real-time train schedule data, and indeed those working on their own apps can get access to the live feed. Keep an eye out for updates to NYC transit apps early in 2013 featuring live train schedules.

(Remember, if you loved Google's transit info, you can use Google Maps in hybrid mode with iOS 6 Maps now if you want.)

Report: Audi to spend $17 billion to fight BMW

BMW and Audi logos

It's no secret that VW Group, parent company to not only Volkswagen but also Audi, Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche and Ducati brands sold in the US, is determined to become the world's largest automaker. Even more impressive is that VW is prepared to spend billions to make it happen.

With that comes word that VW Group will be spending $17 billion on its Audi brand over the next three years to push itself above rival BMW. The money will be invested in both vehicle development (including lightweight auto design and alternative powertrains) and facilities (including expansion in Hungary, China and new operations in Mexico). The luxury brand is focused on global manufacturing infrastructure.

Already Europe's best-selling luxury brand, Audi's objective is to overtake BMW by the end of the decade by selling more than two million cars per year (BMW is shooting for 1.54 million sales in 2013). If those objectives are met, VW Group should be on track to be the industry's volume leader by 2018.

Foursquare to display full user names, share more data with local businesses

Fond of your family name? Good -- it's about to get a bit more visible. Foursquare is planning to display full user names on profile pages, explaining in a recent community email that the old policy has become confusing. "If you search for a friend on Foursquare, we show their full name in the results, but when you click through to their profile page you don't see their last name." The team says these abbreviations made sense in Foursquare's early days, but recently users have been asking for change. "We get emails every day saying that it's now confusing." The social network hopes that displaying users' full surnames will help mitigate confusion between the John Smiths and John Smythes of the world.

The company's tweaked privacy policy promises to share more data with businesses, too, giving store owners greater visibility of customers who have recently checked in. Users who want their quests for coffee to remain anonymous still can, of course -- Foursquare was careful to remind users that they can change their "full name" whenever they want, and can opt out of sharing their location information with businesses. We wouldn't want to step on any toes, would we? Head past the break to see the email for yourself, or check out the adjacent source link to read Foursquare's "Privacy 101" summary.

Improvements at Foxconn's China factory

Foxconn has been under the microscope due to excessive overtime and poor working conditions at its Chinese production facilities. A report in the New York Times suggests the company is making changes that'll improve the workplace for its 1.4 million employees in China. These improvements include less overtime, pay increases and improved working conditions.

The report chronicles Pu Xiaolan, a migrant worker from Sichuan province who has benefitted from Foxconn's worker-friendlier policies. She previously had a chair to helps her with her work inspecting iPad cases, but it didn't have back support. She would end her shift so sore that she had difficulty sleeping. Pu says she now has a wooden chair with a high, sturdy back that eases the strain on her back. She has even heard of some employees getting chairs with cushions.

Apple's influence on Foxconn and its increasingly prominent role in worker's rights is also highlighted in the New York Times article. Human rights groups hope the Cupertino company will continue to focus on improving conditions for factory workers overseas. Many believe Apple has the public stature to initiate major changes in the way assembly workers are treated in the workplace. These improvements would not be limited to Foxconn, they could ripple throughout the entire electronics manufacturing industry.

You can read the full article about Apple, Foxconn and working conditions on the New York Times' website.

If you just received a Galaxy S III or a Note II this holiday season, you could do yourself a favor and register it on Samsung's Facebook page to get even more goodies from Santa Sammy. What do you get in exchange for handing over some personal details and giving the Korean company access to your timeline? Why, a free flip cover and six TecTiles, which usually go for about $15 for a pack of five. We haven't heard much about wide adoption of these programmable NFC tags, but maybe it'll gain some traction after a recent 3.0 app update and this promotional giveaway. Honda Builds The Crossover Of Bikes

2012 Honda NC700X

Here in the land of Harleys and highways that stretch to infinity, Americans don't care much for sensible motorcycles. Unlike the majority of global bike buyers, North Americans tend to choose escape over utility, performance over practicality - that's simply how it's been done in the land of the free, at least until a funny thing happened on the way to the global recession.

As bank balances thinned and fuel prices crept skyward, sales of puffed up sportbikes and cartoonishly endowed cruisers plummeted. Americans rediscovered that motorcycles could be used for tasks like workaday commutes and trips to the grocery store, not just for riding into a Marlboro Man-approved sunset, fringe in tow. As consumers matured, manufacturers slowly responded with bikes better suited for purposeful priorities.

The American Honda Motor Company rode the wave of frivolity while it lasted, experimenting with stunts like stuffing a mammoth 1,795cc v-twin into their VTX series of cruisers, until the humbler (but still hulking) 1,312cc mill took over. But Honda eventually got sensible and beefed up its scooter lineup, launched the beginner-friendly CBR250R, and - lo and behold - took a cue from the European market by introducing the NC700X stateside. But here's the rub: As much as the alphanumerically cumbersome model visually resembles a rugged BMW at a glance, the NC packs enough practical equipment to suggest there's a sea change in the way motorcycles are being marketed and sold in the US.

Duke Basketball: Areas of Concern Following Tight Victory over Santa Clara

All is well in Krzyzewskiville, as Duke held off a scrappy Santa Clara team and notched a 90-77 victory Saturday. But the Blue Devils have plenty to work on if they want to continue their pursuit of an undefeated season.

A two-point lead at halftime and a second-half deficit is all you need to know to realize how close this game really was.

Let's dive in and check out which areas the Dukies should be concerned about moving forward as they get ready to enter ACC play shortly.

Must Shut Down Opponent's Star Player

Many Duke fans were having flashbacks of their improbable 2012 NCAA tournament upset at the hands of Lehigh on Saturday.

Santa Clara's top scorer, guard Kevin Foster, averages 18 points per game and had that well before halftime against the Blue Devils.

He ended up with 29 points, eerily similar to when Lehigh's C.J. McCollum put up 30 against Duke in its bracket-busting loss.

Duke is traditionally a very sound defensive team, but they often have lapses against teams with high scoring capacities such as Santa Clara. They can't afford for one player to be gashing them this bad, as it will come to haunt them when more capable teams visit.

Can't Overlook Underrated Teams

Santa Clara is incredibly overmatched on paper by the Duke Blue Devils and traveled to arguably the most hostile environment in college basketball. So, why was all the talk about avoiding the "upset alert"?

Because we've seen this before from Duke. With years of top recruiting classes, a coach who's been the man for more than 30 seasons and a ton of championships hanging from the rafters, it's easy to overlook a team that is nowhere to be found on a top-25 list.

Although the ACC is traditionally a strong conference, it currently boasts No. 23 N.C. State as its only ranked team other than the top-ranked Blue Devils. The competition will be more fierce than Santa Clara, but it won't be elite until they reach the tourney.

Duke's upcoming schedule is littered with teams who they likely aren't paying a whole lot of attention to. Their aspirations are in March, but it's important to keep the focus on here and now to ensure they hold onto a top seed.

Step Up Backcourt Defense

Just because Duke possesses a strong frontcourt unit defensively and a lot of talented shooters and scorers in the backcourt doesn't mean their guards are free to slack off on defense.

Coach K won't be happy with 56 combined points from Santa Clara's three starting guards. That's a fact.

The Duke coaching staff is certainly relieved to have avoided an upset against a pesky and talented team, but there's no excuse for highly touted players like Seth Curry and Quinn Cook to be giving up gaudy point totals to their opponents.

Guard play becomes more and more crucial as the season wears on, which means Duke's backcourt will have to step it up defensively if they truly have championship aspirations.

Microevolutionary Analysis Of Clostridium Difficile Genomes To Investigate Transmission

Over recent years, hospital-acquired Clostridium difficile infections have been a significant problem in UK hospitals and globally. There have been concerns that infections may be due to transmission between symptomatic patients, either directly, or indirectly via hospital staff; these concerns were strengthened when enhanced infection control was introduced in England in 2007, and the incidence of C. difficile infection declined...

The Factor That Could Influence Future Breast Cancer Treatment

Australian scientists have shown in the laboratory how a 'transcription factor' causes breast cancer cells to develop an aggressive subtype that lacks sensitivity to estrogen and does not respond to known anti-estrogen therapies. The research, which has significant implications for breast cancer treatment, is published December 27 in the open access journal PLOS Biology. Transcription factors are molecules that switch genes on or off. In this case, the transcription factor known as 'ELF5' inhibits sensitivity to estrogen very early in the life of a breast cancer cell...

Will Dolph Ziggler Finally Realize His Full Main Event Potential in 2013?

Dolph Ziggler has a couple of nicknames. He’s the Showoff, he’s Mr. Money in the Bank, and many fans now believe he is earning a third moniker, that of the Next Big Thing.  And 2013 could very well be his year.

All apologies to Brock Lesnar for the use of the nickname, but if it fits anyone in WWE right now, it has be Dolph.

Of all the young up and coming Superstars who are making their way in the company, working hard inside the ring and out, Dolph Ziggler is the one with the most edge and the most hype.  He has done more, and been more patient, than any of his peers and the time is coming that he will be rewarded for his efforts.

But it seems we have heard this all before, right?

Dolph Ziggler has been just on the verge of reaching that main-event status for what seems like forever now.  But every time he’s gotten close, he has fallen short.

WWE dangles the carrot of success in front of Ziggler and then pulls it back as soon as the man’s fingertips graze it.  It has happened for so long now that for me, even Dolph’s Money in the Bank win was not a real reason to celebrate.  Why?

Because the moment he won, I immediately wondered who would take it from him.

This is not a reflection on Dolph or his ability, far from it.  This is more about WWE creative, and how they tend to go left instead of right.

The fact is that as wrestling fans, we can be an impatient bunch.  Sometimes we don’t want to wait for a guy’s character to evolve, for him to reach the point that the company is ready for him to take that next step.

As soon as we see value in a Superstar, and believe he can carry the weight, we want to see him advance.

Like, yesterday.

This has possibly never been more true than in the case of Dolph Ziggler, a guy who, week in and week out, continues to impress in the ring.  It is that same work ethic that transformed him from just another annoying heel, to a guy who is championship caliber.

And that notion is perhaps made even stronger now by the addition of AJ Lee to the mix.

When the heat between Dolph and John Cena began a few months ago, it was obvious that the feud would lead to a showdown, probably at a pay-per-view.  What was likely not so obvious was how that match would end.

The sight of AJ pushing over the ladder holding Cena is one that will surely be a highlight of 2012 for many fans.  It may have only been a spot designed to turn AJ heel, but it quite possibly represents a lot more to those who saw it as Dolph finally being given the nod over Cena.

With a win over Cena, one of the last remaining hurdles had been removed.  And, AJ’s presence at Dolph’s side signaled another effort by WWE at investing time and energy in promoting the Showoff.

Once again, we are confronted with the very real possibility that Dolph Ziggler’s time is coming and once again we are anxious to see how it plays out.

Will 2013 be Dolph’s time?  Could we see Ziggler hoisting the World Title above his head in January after having cashed it in at the Royal Rumble?  Will all of the questions surrounding Dolph finally come to an end?

Dolph Ziggler made great strides in 2012 as his main event career finally began to take shape.  Now that 2013 is here, many fans are ready for that career to be fully realized.

But then again, it seems we have said this all before.

Breakfast Topic: Have you belonged to more WoW guilds than socks you've lost in the dryer?

Breakfast Topic Have you belonged to more WoW guilds than socks you've lost in the dryer
Dwarven Baby Socks "At first you thought they were petrified. But no, they are just really crusty."

Guilds are like socks. Some people prefer long, lovely stockings and guilds that go on for ages, while others prefer sturdy little footies and curtailed groups that ride below the water line. The fashionistas among us stick with a delicate swath of nylon to cradle their toes in their stilettos -- and a sexy guild name will do, thanks, with no need for all those nasty rules and raids. And some people, of course, don't wear socks or belong to guilds at all.

See? Socks. Guilds. It's a thing.

When I was working last week on our guide to a drama-free departure from a guild, one of my goals was to help players see that no matter how disappointed or frustrated or hurt they were, there was no reason to lob a guild over the back of the couch like a pair of stinky athletic socks after a day of rugby in the mud. Even when drama erupts and things hit rock bottom, a guild still represents a collective hope, a fellowship of something bigger than petty schemes and loot rules and social dramas. But when things don't evolve quite the way you'd planned and your efforts to effect a positive change have failed, it's time to move on. Sometimes more than once. Sometimes, over and over again -- until you find what you're looking for.

At some point, obviously, you'll either figure out what you're doing wrong (whether it's unrealistic expectations or some issue with your own behavior that's throwing guild membership out of sync for you) or give up in frustration. But maybe you've just had a string of colossal bad luck. Or maybe your circumstances have changed quite a bit through the game's eras, or the people you play with have gone through their own metamorphosis. Maybe your realm slowly withered beneath your feet, or maybe That Guy showed up and drama-bombed things to hell and back. Repeatedly.

Do you think you've belonged to a particularly high number of guilds over time? What was behind all the changes? Did the turmoil sour you on guild membership in general, or are you going strong in a solid guild home or in hopes of finding one? How did you find the One True Guild?

Reader UI of the Week: Crazy Castbars

Reader UI of the Week SOMETHING HERE

I really wanted to make a special, seasonal, Winter Veil UI, but alas I ran out of time. Next year, maybe! If you made a special Winter Veil or other seasonal UI to pretty up your screen over the festive period, do send it in, I'd love to see it!

Instead, we've got Palanorma's paladin UI, which he sent in in response to last week's column. He said in his email that it reminded him of his, and I can definitely see why. Palanorma included two screenshots, one not casting, and one casting.

If you want to send in your UI, drop an email to olivia@wowinsider.com. Do let me know what addons you're using, and if you have any thoughts on elements of your UI that you're particularly proud of or unhappy with, do put that information in, too.

Also, someone suggested a while back that we should run a UI surgery, where you send in a UI that you're unhappy with, and the community and I have a bash at fixing it for you. If that sounds like fun, or like it might help you, send in your UI!

Gold Capped: Inscription gold-making guide

"Every" week, WoW Insider brings you Gold Capped, in which Basil "Euripides" Berntsen and Fox Van Allen aim to show you how to make money on the Auction House. Check out Basil's re-reboot of Call To Auction, and email Basil with your questions, comments, or hate mail!

Have a scribe? Need gold? Look no farther. Inscription is one of the best gold-making professions in the game. You can make glyphs, Darkmoon cards, and all kinds of other odds and ends. Each of these markets has a characteristic time investment requirement and potential profit. Each realm is going to be different, but in general:
  • Darkmoon cards: Scalable time investment, massive profits
  • Glyphs: Massive time investment, low profit
  • Odds and ends: Minimal time investment, medium profit
Darkmoon cards start off simply enough: if you do your daily research, you can make a card a day. Different cards have different values, but on average, you'll make back way more than the value of the inks. You can trade cards, and the more cards you make, the better efficiency you'll have making decks. Assuming you can make a full deck for every 12 cards you produce (which is the ratio you see if you trade really well and/or produce a lot of cards), it'll cost you 120 stacks of any herb but Fool's Cap, or 75 stacks of Fool's Cap. At 40g per stack of, for example, Green Tea Leaf, that's 4800g per deck. Some decks can sell for over 20,000g.

Avoid Promoting Miracle Diets For New Year, British Lawmaker Urges Magazines

Please do not promote "miracle diets" for the New Year, British Women and Equalities Minister, Jo Swinson has urged magazine editors. Every year throughout the world, magazines are awash with miracle cure diets that guarantee incredible results after weeks of overindulgence during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Jo Swinson, MP (Member of Parliament) for East Dunbartonshire, says magazine editors must avoid the temptation of falling into the annual diet hype among their New Year resolutions for 2013. The Minister made the request in an open letter to magazine editors...

Around Azeroth: Cowcoon

Around Azeroth Cowcoon FRIDAY
Submitter Bruincub of Silver Hand (US-H) never quite felt like he was born in the right body. He was meant to be a graceful, frail creature, not a lumbering brute of a cow, cursed to stomp and graze the lands of Azeroth. When he discovered Gilded Moths hanging around the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, he knew he had found his true form. For now, dressing like a moth is as close as he can get to a full-body transformation ... for now.

Want to see your own screenshot here? Send it to aroundazeroth@wowinsider.com. We strongly prefer full-sized pictures with no UI or names showing. Include "Azeroth" in the subject line to ensure your submission dodges email spam filters; if you'd like to be credited, also include your name, guild and realm.

Stacy Coley: Highlights, Scouting Report for 4-Star Recruit

Four-star recruit Stacy Coley is one of those tall, lanky wide receivers that you look at and think "Wow, with some meat on his bones, he could be a big-time player."

At 6'1", 175 pounds, that upside has made Coley, out of Oakland Park, Florida's Northeast High School, the focus of attention for a number of college programs.

One of the first things that you notice about Coley on tape is his long, powerful stride and explosive first step, allowing him to cover a lot of ground with minimal effort.

With 4.5 speed in the 40-yard dash and the ability to stop on a dime and start back up again—needing little time to get back up to top speed—Coley has explosive receiver written all over him.

He has great hands, uses his body to shield the ball from defenders and his exceptional vision and feel for running routes makes him a natural for the position.

If there's a concern when it comes to Coley at the next level, it's his ability—and willingness—to fight through contact.

Coley isn't known for breaking tackles, instead relying on his agility and athletic ability to make defenders miss in the open field when he doesn't use his speed to get behind defenders down the field.

As he adds bulk to his wiry frame, those concerns will quickly disappear.

Ranked by 247Sports composite ranking as the fifth-best wide receiver prospect In the country, Coley has all of the physical tools necessary to be a big-time playmaker at the next level.

There’s no reason that he couldn't make an impact from the minute he steps on campus as a freshman.

ZTE Grand S should be just 6.9mm thick, wield a 13MP camera

ZTE Grand S should be just 69mm inches thick, wield a 13MP camera

ZTE has been more than willing to spill the beans about the Grand S ahead of CES, and it's not stopping with the mention that the phone exists. The Chinese phone maker has confirmed that its 5-inch smartphone measures just 6.9mm (0.27in) thick -- that's a sight slimmer than the Droid DNA and Nubia Z5. There's also mention of a 13-megapixel camera that explains a slightly visible rear hump. While we don't yet have confirmation of the rumored quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro and 2GB of RAM, ZTE has left clues that the flagship could undercut typical pricing with a ¥2,799 ($449) off-contract cost in China. We may only know the full details in Las Vegas, but there's every indication that the Grand S hardware could justify a boast or two.

Eyes May Reveal Multiple Sclerosis Progression

Retina thinning may reveal how rapidly multiple sclerosis is progressing, researchers from Johns Hopkins MS Center reported in the journal Neurology. The scientists explained that they referred to the thinning of "a layer of the retina in the eyes". Robert Bermel, MD, who wrote an Accompanying Editorial in the same journal, said: "This study suggests that retinal thinning, measured by in-office eye scans, called OCT, may occur at higher rates in people with earlier and more active MS." Peter Calabresi, MD. and team recruited 164 participants from Johns Hopkins MS Center...

WoW Moviewatch: Little Red Riding Hood

I'm not super clear on what's happening in Little Red Riding Hood since it's not in English and doesn't have subtitles. But I do know this video is awesome, and I've watched enough that I think I can piece together most of the plot.

The story seems to go like this. Little Red Riding Hood is a gnome. The Big Bad Wolf is an orc rogue who ganks her. So Little Red Riding Hood gets some hunter training and recruits a bunny pet. Then the bunny pet kills the orc.

With a story like that, you know the video has to be ridiculously fun, so check it out. Insert your own "Run away, little girl!" sounds for authenticity.

Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at moviewatch@wowinsider.com.
