NFL Week 17 Picks: Lead-Pipe Locks Against the Spread in Season Finale

The NFL’s regular season is coming to an unfortunate end, meaning gamblers have one last shot at betting a full 16-game slate of action this coming Sunday.

If you want to end the season on the high note, win a few bucks and cash out before the spreads tighten up in the playoffs, we have you carried.

Let’s take a look at the most valuable Week 17 spreads on the board, courtesy of ScoresandOdds.com.

*Home team in CAPS.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (+7) vs. Houston Texans

When these two AFC South rivals met last, Houston was able to squeeze out a narrow 29-17 victory at home.

Things should be much different when the Colts host the second matchup of these two foes in three weeks. Indianapolis is one of the hottest teams in football and can further build postseason momentum with a signature win on Sunday.

Plus, the Colts are aware that a victory will allow them to punish the Texans two-fold—one by delivering a loss right before the playoffs, and two, having the potential to knock them back to the No. 3 seed and out of a wild-card bye.

This would be a fitting way for the Colts to avenge their Week 15 faltering, and we expect a close game as a result of the implications.

Miami Dolphins (+10) at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

It seems every year the Pats drop a winnable game to a divisional opponent towards the end of the season.

Considering New England hasn’t lost an AFC East game in all of 2012, the ‘Phins will likely make this one interesting. We’re not saying NE is due to lose, but the Fish are a capable football team—especially on the defensive side—and will manage to keep these rivalry game closer that many believe.

It’s tough to back a young signal-caller like Miami’s Ryan Tannehill, especially against a top team on the road, but take the points here in a game that should be decided by a single-digit margin.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ers (-16.5) vs. Arizona Cardinals

In a rare move, we’re advising bettors to lay over two touchdowns worth of points. The Cardinals are simply that bad, while the Niners are fighting tooth and nail to lock up the NFC West and a playoff bye as the No. 2 seed.

While Arizona was able to earn an impressive win against the lowly Lions two weeks ago, the squad is back to their losing ways and will not even keep things close against a powerful San Fran franchise.

Take the home team and give up the ridiculous amount of points, as this one promises to be the biggest blowout on the board in Week 17.
