It's been a year since the worse case of animal abuse in Baldwin county was discovered in Summerdale. Hundreds of starving and dead dogs and cats were discovered at Purple Hearted Puppies Rescue. Many of the dogs had resorted to cannibalism to stay alive.
Sharon and Roberta Dueitt were arrested and charged with felony animal abuse but still haven't had their day in court.
