The Only Goal You Need to See This Weekend

Everyone loves a good bicycle-kick goal. Kennedy Igboananike scored a great one this weekend.

Igboananike, a 24-year-old Nigerian striker, netted an impressive goal with an overhead kick as AIK Solna drew 3-3 with Halmstad in the Swedish Allsvenskan. The goal came in the 74th minute and gave AIK a 3-2 lead until Johan Blomberg equalized for Halmstad in the 90th minute.

With a cross coming from the right, just outside the box, Igboananike positioned himself away from a defender and timed his jump perfectly before powering an overhead volley into the net past a stunned keeper at the near post.

Most of the time you see an overhead kick, even one that results in a goal, you don't see the player make solid contact with the ball. That's not the case here. Igboananike thumped the ball, and the keeper had no chance to save.

The goal appears in GIF form below. It's our Set Piece Goal of the Weekend. Enjoy.

Igboananike signed with AIK from rivals Djurgården IF as a free agent in November. ''Kennedy has soccer qualities that give us more offensive options," AIK sports director Jens T. Andersson told the club's official website at the time (via AllNigeriaSoccer.com). The Nigerian forward scored his debut goal last week, but we're thinking this bicycle kick was probably closer to what Andersson was talking about.

Through six matches in the 16-team Allsvenkan table, AIK are 11th with six points. Halmstad are 15th with four.
