5 Biggest 'What Were They Thinking?' Moments of 2011 NFL Season

There have been some boneheaded moves this NFL season. In each instance it was a momentary lapse of good judgement, except in the case of Stevie Johnson and Ndamukong Suh.

In both instances there was more to the story than simply a small mental lapse.

For Suh it was a pattern of behavior that has hurt him all season and now, with the weird details of his car accident coming to the surface, it’s a pattern of behavior that is really starting to hurt him and his Lions.

Stevie Johnson is a whole other story—his celebration was premeditated. Now, I personally don’t have a problem with a celebration but when it’s premeditated and not thought out well enough to prevent a penalty, then there is a huge conflict there.

At the end of the day all these guys need to be held accountable for their actions. Some were foolish mistakes and some were the mark of foolish people.
