It would not be a normal day if I did not write about Plaxico Burress at least once.
So here goes.
Mr. Burress, who was just last week released from prison after being charged with carrying a concealed weapon in a New York City nightclub, is now partnering with an anti-gun group.
Which is fitting. Since Burress accidentally shot himself in the leg with the concealed pistol he was carrying. I would be anti-gun if someone shot me, too.
Plaxico Burress announced Monday in New York City that he has partnered with the National Urban League and the Brady Center to combat gun violence. This was Burress' first public appearance since his release from prison last Monday.
The free agent market will be hot for Burress once the NFL lockout comes to an end. Taking steps such as this one will go far in rehabilitating his image.
