Champions League Video: Watch Barcelona Fans Take to the Streets After Victory

On Saturday, Barcelona defeated Manchester United in the finals of the UEFA Champions League. It was a dominant 3-1 victory for the Barcelona team led by Lionel Messi, the best soccer player on the planet right now.

And in typical soccer fashion, the party got started in Barcelona shortly after the fans saw their team win its fourth UEFA title and third in six seasons. The fans lit things on fire, turned cars over and beat the crap out of each other.

Maybe I am in the minority on this one, but I don't get the purpose of the whole rioting after a team wins a championship. Maybe I just don't "get" the soccer fan mentality, but what goes through your mind when someone says, "Hey, let's go on the streets and start trashing this place because Barcelona just won a championship!"

Of course, it takes an equally intellectual person to reply, "HELL YEAH!" So there is plenty of blame to go around.

In this particular video, there are people being dragged down the streets by the police, a reported 90 people were injured, including two seriously, and bottles were being thrown.

But all of that pales in comparison to knowing that their beloved Barcelona has won another championship. They are the best team in the world, and they win all the time. Does one more title really mean THAT much to these people?

Based on the video, apparently it does.
