Grice, who is a senior, finished the game with 96 of the Sun Devils' 232 rushing yards on 18 carries in their 38-33 victory.
Losing Grice for any amount of time would be detrimental to the Sun Devils offense down the home stretch. He has been a huge factor in Arizona State's offense and leads the team in rushing with 901 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season.
The victory over UCLA locked up a spot in the Pac-12 championship game at home against the Stanford Cardinal. However, the Sun Devils will take on in-state rival Arizona on Nov. 30 next.
Given the Wildcats' 42-16 upset victory over No. 5 Oregon, being at full strength will be vital.
