As much as John Cena says that he will never embrace the hate described by Kane in his many vignettes, the 2012 WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view will mark the end of the champion we have come to love.
While he isn’t turning heel, Cena will definitely have a serious new edge.
As we have seen over the past few weeks since Kane’s return, his sole purpose has been to do things to make Cena an angrier version of himself.
While the Big Red Machine’s comeback was initially thought to be a way to turn Cena heel for his match against The Rock, it has become obvious that Cena will only take on an attitude closer to Randy Orton.
Cena will become a face with a wild side, something fans can get behind.
With this match being an ambulance match, this will surely be the end of this feud. I am also taking into consideration that we know The Rock is coming back, and WWE needs to tie up these loose ends. It’s pretty obvious.
While it may be obvious now, this is an all-too necessary step to ensure that the main event of WrestleMania is as big as it possibly could be. This ambulance match will help that big time.
It’s clear that Cena has to win this match, but it’s the method in which he does it and who gets involved that can change the way WrestleMania is viewed.
With Cena beating down Kane in every way possible and even going to wild lengths to prove his point, almost exactly how he did against Batista at Over the Limit in 2010, this should be the point when fans start to cheer Cena much more than they did before.
The point of this match is to show the fans who hate Cena that he really is one of the most dangerous men in the company.
If Cena embraces the hate, the fans will be cheering for him come WrestleMania time.
