Bengals Combine for Wild Interception After Ball Bounces off Helmet

The Cincinnati Bengals got a blooper-like interception against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday in their Week 16 showdown.

Vikings receiver Jerome Simpson, a former Bengal, got behind the Cincinnati defense, but Matt Cassel's pass was badly under-thrown. The ball hit off Bengals corner Dre Kirkpatrick's helmet and bounced to safety George Iloka for the interception.

Although an impressive display, Kirkpatrick clearly interfered with Simpson before the ball got there, but no flag was tossed.

It was the second consecutive pass thrown by Cassel that the Bengals picked off.
