When you have someone in your class for many weeks they become like a member of the family. Such was the case with Daniel DiNardi. The young Daphne student was serious hurt in an accident last week. He died from his injuries earlier this week. A memorial service was held Friday at the Church on the Eastern Shore in Fairhope. Teachers say the young man will be missed.
“He made you feel like when he saw you he would just have such happiness and joy that he really knew and he got to know over time,” says substitute teacher Kathleen McGuigan. “What I remember most about him was his smile, he and I always shared the joy of smiling everyday and he loved to find the fun stuff.” Teachers say he found fun in making people happy.
“Just excited, eyes wide open, you know would do whatever it took to get someone else to smile in that kind of mood,” says English Teacher Phyllis Law.
