2011 NBA Mock Draft Sees Wizards Settle on Kenneth Faried
The Wizards are in the market to get bigger and stronger. This is a team that demands more rebounds. This is where Kenneth Faried comes in.
It is impossible to draft a player that is certain to be a star at this point in the draft. That is why I love this pick. If you can?t get a player that is an all-around genius, draft a player that is fantastic at one thing, and then build on it.
Faried is a rebounding artist. He reminds me of Rodman in the way that he just knew where to be in the paint. This kid may not have that kind of career, but I will take a player that works his tail off to grab boards any day.
The first item of note is, of course, his offense. Faried may have been able to shove his way to the rim in college, but he needs more polish to put up double digits in the Association.
For now, the Wizards will take a guy that can grab a ton of boards and outlet to their speedy guards. This may not be a sexy pick, but it is one that will surely make the Wizards better.
