Police Name Person of Interest In Theodore Double Homicide
The three men charged with capital murder for the death of a Theodore man and his grandson are behind bars. Now police are looking for a fourth.
Police are calling 28 year old Timothy Taylor of Prichard a 'person of interest.' They want to talk to him about the murder of Willie Sullivan and his 12 year old grandson.
According to police, Ricky Turner, Tavares Jones and Bryant Reynolds kicked down Sullivan's front door about 1:30 morning. Armed with assault rifles, the men went in with guns blazing. 12 year old Glen Sullivan was in the living room. Police say he never had a chance. Glen's 17 year old sister heard the gunshots and hid. Their grandfather grabbed his gun and got off at least four shots before he was killed.
Judge Charles McKnight denied Turner and Jones bond this morning. Reynolds was released from the hospital after undergoing surgery for gunshot wounds to his head, shoulder and wrist. He will be in court Monday for a bond hearing. Turner and Jones have an arraignment on Tuesday.

UFC 132 Fight Card: Reasons to Watch - Urijah Faber Isn't Done Yet
Urijah Faber has seen it all in the world of MMA including Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz. The two first fought at WEC 26 in March of 2007, and Faber dispatched Cruz in under two minutes with an impressive guillotine choke.
Faber has only lost to Tyson Griffin, former featherweight champion Mike Brown, and current featherweight champion Jose Aldo. All three of those men were much bigger than him, and he was fighting out of his natural weight class. With the addition of the 135 lb. division, Faber has been reborn and is eying more gold. Faber will push the pace undoubtedly as he does in all of his bouts and make this a thriller.
Cruz, however, feels that he is the best in world at 135 and will do anything to hold onto the belt. Dominick Cruz would love to avenge his only loss this Saturday night and prove to the world that he can beat anyone at 135. The 26 year old San Diego native can be in the discussion of best fighter pound for pound if he grabs a victory of the California kid.
Faber is going to show fans on Saturday whether he is the face of the Bantamweight division or just another one of Cruz?s victims.
NFL Lockout: 5 Rookies Hurt Most by NFL Lockout
The NFL lockout has gone on too long. It ruined spring, and now it is trying to destroy the summer months.
Teams can't make trades, sign free agents or even sign the rookies they just drafted, which prevents several clubs from getting better.
This is huge problem for some teams because they will heavily rely on the players the rookies they recently acquired. Granted, some are working out with their new teammates, but it's not the routine they need to have before they begin their first season in the NFL.
The lengthy lockout has all rookies starting behind the eight ball, but which ones will be hurt most after being locked out?

TUAW's Daily Mac App: iFogg
Apps that help you to focus when using a Mac that's chock-a-block full of distractions can be really helpful. iFogg, a US$0.99 app from the Mac App Store, helps you focus by dimming other windows and leaving only the active window at full brightness.
iFogg sits in your menu bar, like many other programs that do similar tasks, and is active the moment you switch windows. The amount by which the rest of the windows and programs are dimmed is adjustable from full brightness to total black-out using a slider on a drop-down menu. You can also adjust whether the app dims all other windows, just windows from other programs, or just those windows not selected, meaning that you can have two windows from two different programs active at the same time.
Dimmed windows can still be accessed, with drag-and-drop, scrolling and clicking unaffected. iFogg can also be quickly turned on and off from the menu bar icon and supports Spaces just fine.
The odd thing about iFogg is that it'll only cover one monitor, so people with multiple monitors won't benefit from the inactive window dimming. You can also select the dimming overlay in Expose, which shows that it's just putting a colored full-screen window overlay on top of all the rest of the windows that aren't active. Still, it works and is pretty light on resources.
iFogg is available now in the Mac App Store. A demo video is embedded below.

NHL Trade Rumors: 7 Teams That Will Be Dealing Before July 1
Free agency may be right around the corner, but NHL teams are already wheeling and dealing in hopes of getting a leg up on the competition when July 1st rolls around.
While it may seem silly to be trading now when so many free agents will be available, many NHL teams have already been trading and signing players ahead of the imminent start of one of the biggest few days on the NHL calendar.
There has certainly been no shortage of deals this year, with teams trading left and right for players to try to reshape their rosters before the start of next season.
So in the midst of all this activity, here are the rumors of seven teams who could be making a deal before the start of free agency.

Barcelona Transfer Rumors: Manchester United's Nani, the Alternative to Sanchez?
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona could consider the option of signing Manchester United winger Nani if their move for Alexis Sanchez falls through due to the clubs not being able to come to an agreement. The Manchester United is also apparently tracked by Bayern Munich and Juventus and Barcelona might have to beat competition to sign the winger.
Barcelona's top target could be the Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas and with other clubs still in the race for Alexis Sanchez, Barcelona could lose out on Sanchez. If that is the case, Nani would be an option which will be considered by the club considering he has been frustrated due to Sir Alex Ferguson benching him in the Champions League final and also, the signing of Ashley Young means he will not be certain of being a starter.
Wimbledon 2011: Mardy Fish Versus the World, Including Rafael Nadal
Mardy Fish has experienced more than one first while playing at Wimbledon this year.
Fish played against Berdych for the very first time on Monday. Fish also beat Berdych and gained a place in the quarterfinals for the first time in his career at Wimbledon.
How did he do it?
Killer serves, volleying well and being in top physical condition at 29 years of age.
After recommitting himself to tennis in 2010 and getting into the best shape of his life, Fish is achieving much more than he ever thought was possible.
He is now one of the top-10 male players in the world and is ranked higher than his close friend and fellow American, Andy Roddick.
Though he has achieved much in the last year and a half, the challenges do not get any easier.
For his first quarterfinal berth, Fish will face the 2011 French Open champion Rafael Nadal.
Though Nadal injured his heel in his match against Juan Martin Del Potro, the Nadal camp is reporting it is nothing serious.
Even if Nadal's heel bothers him slightly, Fish will need everything in his arsenal to battle his way through the quarterfinals.
Fish will likely rely on his powerful serve. He is also no stranger to the net. He will come in and he will put shots away. Nadal will have to stay on his toes and be ready to come in towards the net quickly.
There is no question regarding Fish's fitness, but there are questions about Nadal's.
Rafa has recently expressed more concern about his knees and the possibility of further medical tests after Wimbledon. With his recent heel injury, one has to wonder how mobile he will be the rest of the tournament?
Do not count Rafa out, though. Nadal is a fighter in every sense of the word. He will fight and scramble his way through every point.
Fish has become quicker and more agile because of his fitness. Combine this with a huge serve and a doubles player who knows how to volley better than most and you have a very interesting match lined up.
It's the quarterfinals at Wimbledon. What else would you expect?
B/R Talks to Johnny Damon, Humbled by Chance to Pass Williams
When a young ballplayer named Ted Williams once said that he wanted to be remembered as the greatest hitter of all time, he meant it. And 2,654 hits later, after an illustrious career, Williams very well may have been just that.
Over half a century later, Rays outfielder Johnny Damon is about to pass him. Of course, Damon has his hopes set higher, and 3,000 hits is a very reachable goal for him. But nevertheless, passing the man considered to be one of the greatest pure hitters ever is quite an accomplishment.
"It seems like with every guy I pass now, it's someone very good," Damon said. It's true. In the last few weeks, he has passed Jimmie Foxx, Reggie Jackson and Ernie Banks.
But Teddy Ballgame owns a special place in Johnny Damon's heart.
"Ted Williams is especially sentimental to me because I was with the Red Sox when he passed away and we honored him on the field. My son was maybe three at the time and he was able to be out on the field with me wearing a Ted Williams jersey."
He talked about how, in Boston, Ted Williams set the standard for decades to come.
"He's numero uno," Damon said, "Even with Carl Yasztremski they were always trying to make comparisons and saying you will never be that good."
"Everybody is compared to Ted, even Manny when he got there. Yankee centerfielders and Red Sox left fielders are probably two of the most revered positions in the game."
If Damon eventually reaches 3,000 hits, not only will he have passed Williams, but also such titans as Babe Ruth, Rogers Hornsby and Barry Bonds. But for Damon, even passing Ruth would not mean quite as much.
"Obviously, every hit you get and whoever you tie or pass is special, but I think Ted Williams is tops for me."
"I never did (get to meet Williams). I didn't make the All-Star team in '99 when he was there. I had the numbers, but playing for the Royals, they would always take the pitchers."
Damon also discussed how he has been viewed throughout his career.
"I think that when I came up, everybody thought I was just a singles hitter," he said, "but I was able to get some extra-base hits and I think I'm at 800 and counting right now."
This season, Damon has been excellent in that regard. He has 80 hits this year, 23 of them for extra bases. It's all part of his game.
As the hits keep piling up for the Rays outfielder, a Hall of Fame resume may be in the works. But Damon is just happy to have had a long, successful career.
"I'm just surprised by the fact that I've been able to have this long of a career," he said.
In the next few games, Damon will certainly pass the Splendid Splinter and continue his quest towards 3,000 hits. But for now, he is honored to even be mentioned in the same breath as Ted Williams.
MLB All-Star Game: 16 of the Worst Second Half Drop Offs Ever
With the All-Star game just around the corner, analysts and fans alike are debating the merits of players' first-half performances and deciding whether or not they're truly worthy of a trip to Arizona in July.
As is the case with every season, a number of players have gotten off to hot starts and will likely find themselves taking the trip.
What will happen from there will be just as interesting to follow. Whether or not it's related to a potential All-Star bid can't necessarily be determined, but it's apparent that in some instances a strong first-half surge could potentially spell trouble for a player's second-half productivity.

LeBron James: Will Rookie Norris Cole Help James Win a Ring?
Rookie Point Guard Norris Cole Will Help LeBron James Win His First Title
When the Miami Heat traded up three spots in the draft to pick Cleveland State point guard Norris Cole in the first round, people realized that Cole was going to be the point guard of the team moving forward.
Whether they plan on starting him or letting him play off the bench is still undecided, but the rookie will log plenty of minutes on a team looking for defense and smart playmaking choices at the point position.
By using Mario Chalmers and Mike Bibby the way the Heat did last season, they were outmatched on a regular basis at the point guard position, and neither player showed much talent on the defensive end.
Must Read: NBA Trade Talk: 10 Blockbuster Trades That Make Sense for Teams Involved
On a team with such a plethora of offensive and defensive talent, Cole?s transition will not be difficult, and he should have plenty of opportunities to exploit double teams on his teammates.
Cole told the Miami Herald:
I?m going to be confident on the court. You don?t have to so much defer to them. They?re going to make plays, they?re going to demand the ball anyway. [If] I?m out there, I?m going to just play my role. If I have a shot or a lane, I?ll take it. If not, I?ll be ready to play off those guys because they?re such great players.
Cole is already coming into a team full of egos with one of his own, and it will be interesting to see how he handles that big of a stage with players like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
James had a great playoff run last season, but faltered in the finals like it was his job. Next season, Miami will try to avoid that by getting a point guard that will take the ball when LeBron freezes up.
With Cole?s mindset of being a facilitator or scorer depending on the team?s needs, he is a perfect fit for a team that depends on one the streakiest players in the NBA.

Breakfast Topic: Let's make up our own WoW holidays
We already quasi-have this to a small degree with World of Warcraft's heroes. Some quests during the Harvest Festival over on the Horde side of things, for instance, have us visit Grom Hellscream's monument and pay tribute to his sacrifice in removing the orcish blood curse. I think we could have two faction-specific holidays that show off the Warcraft history without being spiritual dopplegangers to real life events.
For the Alliance, a holiday could be created to honor the sacrifices of the men and women who charged through the Dark Portal and destroyed the other side, leaving them stranded on Draenor for what appeared to be forever. Nethergarde Keep could be the site of the holiday, as Alliance players go to pay their respects at the site of one of the bravest acts of heroism the Alliance exhibited in the war against the Legion-dominated Horde.
For the Horde, players could partake in some sort of release from bondage day, since at some point all of the races that currently make up the Horde were enslaved either physically; through addiction, like the blood elves; or through conflict, like the tauren. Rather than be a holiday wishing for the destruction of slavers, this time would be of appreciating the relative freedom that the races of the Horde now enjoy.
What do you think some in-game holiday, unique to the game world and lore, be? Would you like to see Blizzard make up actual in-game holidays instead of following by our own cultural moments?

Two Bosses Enter: Cataclysm Season 1 finals
"Today, in the left corner, stands the guardian of the World's Heart!" Tirion's voice rose to a crescendo to be heard over the explosive cheering of the audience and the music thundering forth from the gnomish sound projectors. "Ozruk!"
Break yourself, break yourself
Break yourselves upon my body
Break yourself, break yourself
Break yourselves upon my body ...
And so it went. A frown grew on Tirion's face, displeased with the so-called hippity-hop, but what the audience wanted, the audience would get. The moment the music faded, the old crusader motioned to the other corner. "In the right corner stands ..." Tirion leaned forward, squinting to make out the form far below. He sighed deeply. "Vanessa, what are you doing here? Where is the Cardboard Assassin? And why are you wearing that chapeau?"

Phat Loot Phriday: Reforged Heartless
"The thing about addicts," Lolegolas said in a slow, conversational tone, "is that once you've overcome your dependence on the substance ... you're left with a hole."
He stood up and moved closer to the fire to sit next to the Tauren. "The addiction never goes away. You're always aware of it. It's like the buzzing of wasps in the distance. It's always in the corner of your mind. You always want to sate it. The only real difference is that you now have the strength to control that longing. But controlling it hurts. That's life with addiction."
"Tell me, then," the hunter said quietly to the bound warrior. "If you think a sore tooth makes a bear cranky and mean ... what do you think that kind of constant frustration does to one of the Sin'dorei?"
Lolegolas grit his teeth tightly. "I found a man ... an orc ... who helped me with that pain. Your politics took him away, and now I believe your people might kill him. Let's you and I discuss how we're going to keep that from happening."

Effect of spinal manipulation on sensorimotor functions in back pain patients: study protocol for a randomised controlled trial
Low back pain (LBP) is a recognized public health problem, impacting up to 80% of US adults at some point in their lives. Patients with LBP are utilizing integrative health care such as spinal manipulation (SM). SM is the therapeutic application of a load to specific body tissues or structures and can be divided into two broad categories: SM with a high-velocity low-amplitude load, or an impulse "thrust", (HVLA-SM) and SM with a low-velocity variable-amplitude load (LVVA-SM). There is evidence that sensorimotor function in people with LBP is altered. This study evaluates the sensorimotor function in the lumbopelvic region, as measured by postural sway, response to sudden load and repositioning accuracy, following SM to the lumbar and pelvic region when compared to a sham treatment.
Methods:
A total of 219 participants with acute, subacute or chronic low back pain are being recruited from the Quad Cities area located in Iowa and Illinois. They are allocated through a minimization algorithm in a 1:1:1 ratio to receive either 13 HVLA-SM treatments over 6 weeks, 13 LVVA-SM treatments over 6 weeks or 2 weeks of a sham treatment followed by 4 weeks of full spine "doctor's choice" SM. Sensorimotor function tests are performed before and immediately after treatment following baseline, week 2 and week 6. Self-report outcome assessments are also collected. The primary aims of this study are to 1) determine immediate pre to post changes in sensorimotor function as measured by postural sway following delivery of a single HVLA-SM or LVVA-SM treatment when compared to a sham treatment and 2) to determine changes from baseline to 2 weeks (4 treatments) of HVLA-SM or LVVA-SM compared to a sham treatment. Secondary aims include changes in response to sudden loads and lumbar repositioning accuracy at these endpoints, estimating sensorimotor function in the SM groups after 6 weeks of treatment, and exploring if changes in sensorimotor function are associated with changes in self-report outcome assessments.DiscussionThis study may provide clues to the sensorimotor mechanisms that explain observed functional deficits associated with LBP, as well as the mechanism of action of SM.Trial registrationThis trial is registered in ClinicalTrials.gov, with the ID number of NCT00830596, registered on January 27, 2009. The first participant was allocated on 30 January 2009 and the final participant was allocated on 17 March 2011.

UFC on Versus 4 Results: How Much Ground Did Rick Story Lose?
UFC on Versus 4 Results: How Much Ground Did Rick Story Lose?
Bleacher Report's Andrew Barr:
t was been a crazy month for rising welterweight contender Rick Story.
At UFC 130, Story competed in the biggest fight of his career against former title challenger Thiago Alves.
Rick went into the fight as an underdog and shocked the world by defeating Thiago by unanimous decision.
The victory gained Story considerable momentum, many seeing him as being no more than two fights away from a title shot.
Shortly after his win over Alves, an interesting opportunity presented itself to Story.
Nate Marquardt was scheduled to face Anthony Johnson at UFC on Versus 4, but Johnson forced off the card due to injury and Story was offered his spot.
Rick entered himself into a high risk, high reward situation by accepting the fight. If he beat Marquardt, he would be no more than one win away from a title shot at the most. However, if he were to lose it would destroy much of the momentum he earned by defeating Alves.
Taking any fight on only a month's notice is risky, especially if you've just fought against a top contender and Marquardt is not an opponent you want to be under prepared.
UFC on Versus 4 Results: Why Matt Mitrione Should Fight Cheick Kongo Next
UFC on Versus 4 Results: Why Matt Mitrione Should Fight Cheick Kongo Next
Bleacher Report's Dean Stone:
have to admit that when I heard Nate Marquardt was out of the main event against Rick Story at UFC on Versus 4, I didn't think the replacement headliner between Cheick Kongo and Pat Barry would do the card justice.
Boy was I wrong.
Instead the main event will go down as a classic example of how not to rush in too fast when you think you have your opponent in trouble, and we'll be watching the end of that fight on highlight reels for decades to come.
Kongo's amazing KO while still on rubbery legs will not only retain a spot for him on the UFC roster, it should also be enough to earn him another co-main event fight, likely against a well known up-and-comer.
The other Heavyweight fight on the UFC on Versus 4's main card had TUF alum Matt Mitrione in against Christian Morecraft. As most expected, Mitrione's kickboxing was the difference and Meathead KOed his opponent in the second round in dominating fashion.
The performance brought Mitrione's record to 5-0 in the Octagon and was impressive enough for him to likely get a shot at a gate-keeper type fighter who will either put him in his place or vault him into the upper echelon of the UFC Heavyweight division.

UFC on Versus 4 Results: The Real Winners and Losers
The results are now in and another great night of UFC action was capped off by an a surprising result in the semi-main event of Charlie Brenneman vs. Rick Story and an unbelievable main event from heavyweights Cheick Kongo and Pat Barry.
Kongo was able to weather what appeared to be a sure knockout coming from Barry midway through the first round only to answer with an absolutely astonishing uppercut of his own to put Barry unconsciously on his back.
But sometimes the simple “wins” and “losses” in the record books don’t tell the whole story. As we’ll look at in this slideshow, some of the biggest “winners and losers” from tonight’s UFC on Versus 4 card did not end up with that designation on their official records.

5 apps for summer travel
Summer has officially begun here in the States. Schools are closing and families are planning vacations across our great land. It can be a hassle, but don't fret! Here are five apps to make your adventure more enjoyable.
SundayDrive (Free)
When my sisters and I were young, my dad routinely stuffed us into the "wayback" of our Matador station wagon where we sat, sweaty and gobbling Chicken McNuggets, en route to no where in particular. Ah, I can still smell the BBQ dipping sauce and leaded gas fumes. Few contemporary families enjoy a sunday drive, and that's what the aptly-named SundayDrive for iPhone aims to change.
The attractive, location-based app represents a growing database of user-supplied travel routes, attractions and single-day getaways. To get started, let the iPhone find your location via GPS. A map will load with the familiar blue dot as well as SundayDrive icons representing logged drives. Tap any one to see its title, distance from your location and length (9.1 miles, for example).
Tap again to review details like an overall description, standout points of interest, photos and the ideal starting point. Finally, you can mark certain trips as favorites (Facebook login required) and even submit your own. If your submission is featured on the SundayDrive website, you'll earn ten bucks!
If only we had this app back in the day. I mentioned the fumes, right?
Flight Update ($4.99 or $9.99 for pro; universal)
You'll be flying to visit grandma's retirement village in Florida? Grab the SPF 100, Dramamine and inevitable acknowledgment of your own mortality while you install Fight Update Pro. I've used this app for years and it consistently beats the airport itself at dispensing timely info and completely eliminates paper. Here's how it works.
First, enter a name ("Trip to Florida"), the start and end date plus any relevant notes. Next, tap Add a Flight. A new window appears. This is where it gets good. Scroll through an exhaustive list of airlines to find yours and then enter your flight number (via the conveniently-supplied number pad) and the date. Hit Save and the app does the rest.
A tidy window appears which lists the airline, flight number, type of plane and status (on time, late, departed, etc.). You'll also find the originating and destination airport, actual departure and arrival times (updated in real time), gate and terminal information as well as the airport's home country and local weather.
Lest I gush like a 13-year-old who's watching Justin Bieber sing "Baby" from the first row, I'll skim through the remaining awesomeness. There's a handy, at-a-glance overview of flight information, a seating chart for nearly every type of plane, a list of alternate flights should a cancellation befall you and even a super convenient, in-app way to alert family and friends of your status (boarding, en route, landed, etc.) via SMS or Email. The pro version offers integration with Tripit.
Flight Update is among my top 10 iOS apps ever. Now enjoy the Sunshine State. Just don't accept any fancy pens.
MotionX GPS Drive ($0.99 for the app, $2.99 - $19.99 in-app purchase for live turn-by-turn voiceover)
The App Store his home to many GPS-based driving apps, several from the industry's big names. My favorite is MotionX GPS Drive. I've used it for over a year and have never had a problem, plus the pay-as-you-go option appeals to me as a frugal New Englander. Here's why you should check it out.
To get started, tap the Search button to reveal the comprehensive search screen. Here you can manually enter an address or hit a button to find shopping, restaurants, gas, hospitals or more in your area. Once you've identified your destination, tap Nav Choices to opt for live voice navigation or visual navigation. The latter is always free, while you can buy 30 days of live voice (non-recurring) for $2.99 or a full year for $19.99. That's a huge selling point: don't pay for it if you aren't using it.
Finally, tap Navigate an off you go. The visuals are extremely clear and work in portrait or landscape. A number of voices are available (some free, some via in-app purchase) but I've found the default to be perfectly acceptable (I've named her "Roadsie"). You can zoom in and out with a tap and even play music as you drive via on-screen controls.
There are plenty of options available, like night mode, live traffic updates, favorite destinations and more. You'll find pricier GPS navigation solutions, but MotionX GPS Drive is my favorite.
Best Road Trip Ever ($3.99)
Best Road Trip Ever (BRTE) is another location-based day trip app, similar to SundayDrive. The main difference is the destinations. BRTE features the off-beat, unusual and atypical destinations that dot the US. Think folk art installations and UFO culture.
They've amassed more than 7,000 attractions for you to explore, including diners and eclectic greasy spoon-type places. Finding an interesting spot is easy. Just tap one of the spots that appear on the map next to your location, follow the directions and go. You'll find lots of photos and even a few videos to get you excited for what you're about to see. BRTE is certainly not for everyone, but those who appreciate the kitsch of a roadside stand in the shape of a doughnut will enjoy it.
The Chimani Guides (Free and $4.99 versions available)
If you intend to visit some US National Parks this summer, grab the Chimani Guides. These fantastic apps are your electronic guide to several National Parks, including Acadia, Cape Cod National Seashore, Yosemite, Cuyahoga Valley and the Grand Canyon.
Of course you'll find detailed maps and photos, that's expected. But the Chimani apps also feature audio driving tours and up-to-the-minute listings of scheduled activities. You can even have push notifications let you know what's going on. Finally, sunrise and sunset times will benefit those on a tight schedule as well as photographers anticipating the golden hour.
Honorable mention goes to SpotWorld. It takes the idea of social itineraries, similar to Best Road Trip Ever and SundayDrive, and sends them into the stratosphere. Users have contributed details on appealing trips all over world. In fact, SpotWorld features photos, audio recordings and articles for more than 500,000 spots all over the world. It's definitely one for the globe trotter.
So there you have it, five apps for summer travel. One for leisurely Sunday drives, one for tracking your flights, one for long road trips, another for discovering the unusual and finally a pocket guide to some of America's National Parks. Have fun and enjoy the summer.
