Miami Heat: Have the Heat Figured out How to Contain the Bulls?

Miami Heat Have Taken A 2-1 Series Lead After An Impressive Game 3 Victory

Coming into the Eastern Conference Finals, we wondered how the Miami Heat could stop the MVP of the league, Derrick Rose.

We have known for months that this team has a major weakness at the point guard position and with Rose's extreme quickness and speed, it looked like a natural mismatch for the Heat in this series.

So far, Miami has shut down Rose and it's led to a 2-1 series lead for the Big Three.

The MVP has struggled mightily in this series, shooting 25 of 64 from the floor, which is about 39 percent.  Miami has pressured him at every pass, putting LeBron James on him at points and forcing him to make terrible shots.

Rose has not looked like an MVP in this series and the Heat have taken over, especially with the Big Three, who scored 73 of Miami's 96 points last night.

We've seen in this postseason that if you stop Rose, you can beat the Bulls and no one else has stepped up enough to give Chicago a real advantage.

Carlos Boozer dropped 26 points, but Bosh torched him all night long on the other end of the floor, negating anything the big man did. The Heat have a formula to beat the Bulls, and so far, Chicago simply has no answer for it.

If this team can't find a way to get Rose better looks, this series won't last much longer and the Heat will go to the NBA Finals. We have seen these struggles all postseason long from the Bulls and now, against a physically gifted team like Miami, they have become even more magnified.

People forget that Chicago had the league's best regular season record, now it's time for the Bulls to play like it.
